HOW AM I DOING?
To answer this question, you must explain to your audience to what degree you are meeting the school-wide Learning Expectations. Some notes on this:
In addition, consider presenting any of the following questions that appeal to you:
- You are required to present evidence to show that you are meeting a Learning Expectation from each of the Social, Civic, and Academic categories. You will present and discuss three distinct pieces of evidence. Here are some ideas for good evidence for each Learning Expectation.
- Each part of this section should include the specific Learning Expectation you are explaining and a clear representation of the related evidence (e.g., a photo of an art project, a link to a problem-solving report, or several classes' worth of HOW grades).
- You need to present how you feel about your high school career so far: What's going well? What might you improve upon?
- You do not need to mention specific grades or anything you want to keep confidential. You do not have to present anything that makes you embarrassed.
- Some more specific details:
- Under the Academic category, you must show and reflect upon a specific piece of work. Don't just show JumpRope grades only or a scored rubric.
- For the Social LE about Habits of Work, showing HOW grades from JumpRope across multiple classes is fine; be sure you reflect on them.
- For the Social LE about Goal-setting, you cannot use the SMART goals you created for the SE as evidence.
- Under the Civic category, make sure your evidence is in the form of an artifact, such as a certificate of participation, a screenshot of Infinite Campus's record of your co-curriculars, or a photo of you and your team. If you don't have any evidence right now, you may meet this bullet by discussing future plans for meeting it.
In addition, consider presenting any of the following questions that appeal to you:
- What goals have you accomplished so far?
- Are there co-curricular activities that are a part of your answer to "How am I Doing?"
- What are you proudest of so far in your high school career?
