HOW AM I GOING TO GET THERE?
In this part of your presentation, you will present and explain two SMART goals that will get you from where you are now to where you want to be in a few years. It is required that one of these goals involve post-secondary options. Remember, for a goal to be SMART, it must be:
Examples of good SMART goals:
Examples of goals that aren't SMART:
- Specific
- Measurable
- Attainable
- Relevant
- Time-bound
Examples of good SMART goals:
- Get accepted into LRTC's pre-engineering program next year
- Bench press my own weight by the start of junior year
- Attend UMaine Orono and major in business after I graduate from high school
Examples of goals that aren't SMART:
- Get on the Honor Roll (this is not time-bound)
- Better: Get on the Honor Roll next semester
- Get in shape (this is not specific, measurable, or time-bound)
- Better: Run a mile in under eight minutes by the end of summer
